When Joyce Spears surveys the second floor of the Christ's Table building on Sixth Street, she doesn't see the layers of dust and clutter, the uneven floors or the paint peeling off the walls. Spears is trying to track down donations and volunteers to make the daytime center a reality -- a reality she hopes will include a kitchen, showers, a laundry room, computers, TVs, offices and a rest area for people who aren't feeling well.
