Board Secretary Barry Butrymowicz, a resident of Mountain in Oconto County, said the association informs state park employees and law enforcement officials about the sport so they know what's going on when they find geocachers poking around the trees and shrubbery. The Ice Age Trail Alliance has created a version of geocaching called ColdCaching, in which participants seek out natural features along the Ice Age Trail, a 1,200-mile hiking trail that celebrates Wisconsin's glacial features.
