The theory of possible criminal tampering with the rope which broke and precipitated Painter J. Frank Hamby to his death at the Cairo Hotel on Tuesday was completely upset yesterday by the report of Dr. R.L. Lynch, acting District chemist. Dr. Lynch's finding, which was given to Health Officer Dr. Woodward, was as follows:
