From the New York Times, Dec. 7. A rather singular case growing out of a lottery ticket was commenced in the Essex Supreme court, at Newark, N.J., yesterday. Some months ago Ezva W. Condit bought a ticket in the Kentucky Lottery. It drew a prize of $150. He mailed the ticket to the agent, who enclosed a check to the order of Ezra W. Condit for the amount of the prize, but addressed the envelope, "W. Condit, Caldwell, N.J."
