BALTIMORE, MD., Dec. 7. -- George Hosford alias Michael Kelly was taken before U.S. Commissioner Rogers this afternoon, charged with the murder of Capt. Thos. C. Whitney, of the American ship Mary Anna, on the high seas, and was committed for a hearing to take place on the 14th inst. Upon the arrival of the Mary Anna at St. Thomas, Hosford was them in charge by the U.S. Consul at that port and se to the United States on the British schoone Berthe Ellen, bouad from Turk's Island fo New York; but the Bethe Ellen, having put in here in distress, Hosford was taken before Commissioner Rogers.
