A visit to the Corcoran Gallery of Art yesterday was made pleasant by the many handsome improvements made, and the new additional treasure of art. New paintings have recently been placed in the gallery, and are by the hand of the celebrated painter Mr. Henry Ulke. His potrait of Mrs. New, wife of ex-Treasurer New, is very line indeed, and by those knowing the lady is pronounced admirable.
