In 1997, after a successful 10-year college and pro playing career, [Tamir Linhart] hung up his jersey and cleats and founded Tamir Linhart Soccer.

Linhart has made strides toward spreading soccer to less conventional places. In 2000, Linhart was inducted into the Greater Washington D.C. Jewish Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington in Rockville.

Linhart finished up his fourth year of studies at the University of Tel Aviv before returning to the Washington area to play professional indoor soccer for the now-defunct Washington Warthogs.
