Local diners, familiar with Kinkead's cooking from his previous post as head chef for 21 Federal, have flocked to his latest venture. The American brasserie caters to an upper-crust clientele and Washington's elite frequent the elegant eatery.

The cuisine at Kinkead's restaurant also was praised by the Mobil Travel Guide, which raised its rating for the restaurant in its latest publication from three to four stars, placing Kinkead's in the top 2 percent of restaurants in the country.
