Contrary to an implication in Sunday's Politics column, Rep. Craig Thomas (R-Wyo.) did receive a correspondence law degree from LaSalle Extension University, although he does not include it in his official biography. (Published 9/28/94)
Meanwhile in Oklahoma, Rep. James M. Inhofe (R), also running for an open Senate seat, acknowledged he graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1973 - not 1959 as he has maintained for 35 years.
The 1959 graduation date has been part of Inhofe's official biography since he was elected to the state House in 1966.
