Adm. [JOHN G. WILLIAMS JR.], who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis in 1946, spent the bulk of his career as a submariner. He was skipper of the Polaris missile nuclear submarine Daniel Webster before commanding a submarine squadron based in Rota, Spain, in the early 1970s. [ANN C. WHITMAN], 83, personal secretary to Dwight D. Eisenhower during his presidency and at his farm in Gettysburg, Pa., after he left office in 1961, died of heart ailments Oct. 15 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla. Mr. [GAMBLE ROGERS] rose to prominence in the 1960s as a member of the Serendipity Singers. His boyhood memories of Florida inspired his stories and songs. Besides recording albums, he wrote plays for radio, television and the stage.
