[Herbert Tate] said the five students, who knew the girl, took her to the Scherzers' basement and sexually assaulted her for an hour but did not have intercourse with her. Tate said he did not think the assault was premeditated.

Eight other young men were cited as witnesses, Tate said, and one has been identified as the son of Glen Ridge Police Lt. Richard Corcoran. Tate said Corcoran brought his son in for questioning and that other arrests are possible.
