Christy Passmore, a spokeswoman at AHA headquarters in Dallas, says the "AHA Diet" crops up somewhere in the country once every six months or so. The AHA has no idea who starts it, or restarts it. Nor can the AHA do much to prevent the starts and restarts, since anyone can type AHA at the top of a piece of paper without bothering to obtain approval.
