All Terry Grant wanted, when he suggested finding a name other than Sterling for the new branch post office in the Cascades community in Sterling, was to draw his neighbors closer together. Instead he launched one of the most divisive issues to hit eastern Loudoun in recent years. Whether to name the new post office Potomac Falls -- because there is already a Cascades post office in southern Virginia -- was the focus of two hours of heated citizen comment at the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors meeting Wednesday night. The debate pits many newcomers to Cascades, Countryside and Potomac Woods against longtime residents of Sterling Park and Broad Run Farms, which were built during the 1950s. All of the communities are in the 20165 Zip code, now known as Sterling.
