Mike Flanagan recently asked Home Team Sports's Chris Glass how many cameras it would take to make him comfortable covering Baltimore's games in Orioles Park at Camden Yards. In 1996, Flanagan went from pitching coach to analyst. Last season, Michael Reghi took over the play-by-play role after Mel Proctor moved to San Diego. This season, with Flanagan returning to coach, the primary analyst will be Rick Cerone, whose playing and broadcasting rsum is dominated by stints with the hated New York Yankees. Home Team Sports enjoys a friendly relationship with the Orioles. Even before construction of the ballpark, the cable network worked with the team to set up camera locations at Camden Yards. And as with most Major League teams, the announcers, including former Orioles pitching ace Jim Palmer, travel on team flights.
