Set to a haunting score by Astor Piazzolla, the movement corresponded with the music's rhythm when not bravely ignoring it. The work began with dancer Jasmine Artis sitting in a chair and clicking her tap shoes against the floor while Mayfield knelt, eyes closed, with her head in Artis's lap.
