Even he was surprised when he learned he will be playing the lead in the high school's production of "Guys and Dolls" this month. He has been practicing three days a week with his fellow cast members, learning his lines and the show's choreography. "It's definitely cool, because I'm only a sophomore," he said. "I have something like 200 lines to learn."

Junior Patrick Kelley won first place in the seventh annual Youth for Life art contest sponsored by the Scranton Chapter of Pennsylvanians for Human Life. His picture was based on Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken." "When I saw the ad for the contest that poem just popped into my head," Patrick said. "It seemed perfect."
