Four Lions Clubs Plan Night At The Races

The four clubs are selling horses for $10 each, which includes admission, food, beverages and entertainment. Deadline to purchase a horse is Feb. 10. To purchase a horse or for information, contact Wilkes-Barre Township Lion Dorothy Faymore at 829-4073, PDG Pete Duda at 824-3929, or make checks payable to "Wilkes-Barre Township Lions Club" and mail check to Lion Al Faymore, 609 Casey Ave., Wilkes-Barre Township, PA 18702. Township property owners received their $21 quarterly sewer maintenance fee for the first quarter of 2013. Payment can be made in person at the municipal building from 1 to 4 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of the month. Payment must be made by check or money order only. No cash will be accepted. Property owners will be given a 2 percent discount if the yearly fee of $84, or $82.32 discounted, if paid in full by Feb. 27. If paying by mail, send your check or money order to "Wilkes-Barre Township Sewer Maintenance Fee," PO Box 1637, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18703. Registration for the Wilkes-Barre Township Braves Little League Baseball will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Wilkes-Barre Township fire hall. Girls and boys ages 4 to 12 will play Little League baseball at Kennedy Park. The cost of registration is $35 for one child and $20 for each additional child.
