[Brian Miller] guided the Hawks' boys' track program to six division titles in 25 seasons, and never experienced a losing season during the quarter-century he was a head coach. Miller compiled a 149-23 overall record as the Hamburg boys' coach, with his 1971, '77 and '78 teams going undefeated. The 1977 team won a school-record 14 dual meets. [Nick Stabile] is the most accomplished wrestler in Hamburg Area's exceptional wrestling history. Stabile earned four varsity letters, was team captain his junior and senior seasons and had an overall career record of 156-16. Stabile was a four-time Berks County champion and was a two-time sectional, District 3 and Southeast Regional champion. He was a PIAA finalist in 2005 and 2006, and holds the school record for the highest winning percentage in a single season and career. Stabile holds school records for near falls in a season and career, and his 74 career pins rank him first among Hamburg Area's all-time pin leaders. Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner.
