COAL TOWNSHIP - Troy Grinaway, 18, of 413 E. Spurzheim St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Terry Ketchem with delivery of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a June 18 incident in the parking lot of Punk's Gym on West Arch Street.

SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Bryan Primerano has charged Ned A. Marcinick Jr., 19, of 105 N. Franklin St., Shamokin, with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, escape, loitering and prowling at night and underage drinking relating to incidents that began at 9:30 p.m. in the first block of East Independence Street.

Police, who detected an odor of alcohol on Marcinick's breath upon speaking with him at Shamokin and Commerce streets, said Marcinick fled on foot when they requested permission to search his black gym bag. Police said Marcinick ran east on Commerce Street, south on Washington Street, east on Spurzheim Street and south on Rock Street into residential yards. Officers located Marcinick on a residential porch in yards between the 300 blocks of North Shamokin and North Rock streets and took him into custody.
