"We talked about the fundraiser and where to get the houses and stuff," Connor said. "I think that helped us raise some of the money."

"As a parent, I want to thank everyone who helped with this and who bought the houses," she said Tuesday. "Not only did they help the families involved in this fire, they taught my son a valuable lesson - that one person can make a difference. That is the attitude he will carry on, knowing how nice people can be."
