Abstract (Document Summary)

About 1,000 PPL customers throughout Luzerne County experienced power outages as of 10 p.m. Tuesday, with more than 862 in the Wilkes-Barre area, according to PPL spokesperson Paul Canevari.

The Hazleton area also saw 136 outages, according to Canevari. Other than the outages, Slocum Township Firefighter Ronald Bird said some trees and wires were down but overall conditions weren't too bad.
