***CORRECTION PUBLISHED JULY 4, 1998 FOLLOWS*** Richmond Judge Margaret Spencer certified Thursday a voluntary manslaughter charge to a grand jury in the case of Samuel J. Moore III, 34, accused of fatally stabbing another man during a street fight May 24 in Shockoe Bottom. The Times-Dispatch incorrectly reported that a murder charge was certified.
Samuel J. Moore III, 34, of the 2200 block of Park Avenue faces murder charges in the incident. He is accused of fatally stabbing a 26-year-old Henrico County man, Stephen Hendricks, in a fight that erupted in the first block of North 18th Street on the night of May 25.
