By Billy Gunn bgunn@thetowntalk.com (318) 487-6381 It took a jury less than an hour Thursday to convict Phillip Raines of sexual battery, finding a former registered nurse guilty of sexually assaulting an appendectomy patient in May 2009 as the victim lay recovering after surgery. Video recordings and witnesses' accounts verify that he ran out of the recovery room, down hospital halls, outside toward the Red River levee, around the back and side of the vast building, ending up in the emergency room asking for help.
