"Make a Difference Day to me is an opportunity for the community to rally up and make an impact, with the hope to change one life or many," said Times Herald executive assistant and local Gannett Foundation contact person Michelle Brown. "The problem I think is nonprofit organizations don't have the manpower or skill-set to seek out and apply for grants," Brown said.
