Abstract (Document Summary)

It's possible that rice burgers slipped into the GTA before [Hayashi] opened J-Grill at 815 Major MacKenzie Dr. E. on Oct. 15 - but he hasn't spotted any around town and neither have I.

For now, he's promoting rice burgers. "First of all, they're unique. Secondly, the Asians like rice - especially the Japanese," reports Hayashi. "Hamburger buns are fine and taste good. But sometimes we need rice or we don't feel like we're eating."

Keith Beaty toronto star J-Grill owner [Kunihisa] "Kenny" Hayashi shows yakiniku (beef) and kinpira (vegetable) rice burgers.
