Moreover, reduced competition in both scheduled and charter flights has made finding cheap flights much more difficult for Canadians.

On charter holidays to the south and overseas charter flights, the time of year you travel is a major factor in price. Go in early spring to Britain and you'll get the cheapest seats. Fly to Florida or the Caribbean in November, January or after April 15 and you'll get much cheaper packages than in February or March.
