Abstract (Document Summary)

The spirit of The Five Beloved Ones was reincarnated yesterday when at least 100,000 faithful gathered in Mississauga and Toronto to celebrate one of the [Sikh] religion's most auspicious anniversaries in spectacular style.

The procession in Mississauga looked like a Hollywood extravaganza, as thousands of adherents packed closed roads in Mississauga's Malton community following behind the lead of the Panj Pyare, The Five Beloved Ones.

Organized by Ontario Gurdwaras Committee, the Mississauga parade began at Malton Gurdwara temple on Airport Rd., proceeded south to Derry Rd., and west to the Ontario Khalsa Darbar Gurdwara temple at the corner of Dixie Rd.
