Abstract (Document Summary)

Well, yes, in fact. At last summer's Scream In High Park around 800 people - double the number of the previous year - stretched out on the grass to listen to a wide array of word artists coo and bellow, entrance and unsettle.

But when the flurry of media attention quieted the scene continued to flow and expand - boding well for this year's Scream In High Park, which takes place this Monday on the set of the Canadian Stage Company's Dream In High Park (east of Grenadier Restaurant).

Beginning at 7 p.m. with a performance by writer/actor Wendy Agnew and closing at 11 p.m. with the explosive street lyric of Black Katt, this year's Scream - the third such event - offers an eclectic mix of 16 distinct voices (four per hour).
