Abstract (Document Summary)

Relatives and friends of [Clint Caracciolo] of Bamburgh Circle spent the next two days in the family's two-storey townhouse, anxiously awaiting word on what became of the "fun-loving" man.

Police said Caracciolo dove from the Trillium ferry at about 11 p.m. Wednesday night when it was about 300 metres (1,000 feet) from the Ontario Place shoreline after a Caribana dinner cruise.

Caracciolo, a native of Trinidad who never missed Caribana events, told friends he would swim ashore and meet them when the boat docked, police said. The family said he could have been pushed, but police maintain he jumped of his own accord.
