Abstract (Document Summary)

Last year, the Peel board reprimanded [Paul Fromm] for participating in racist activities such as a 1991 rally of the white supremacist group Heritage Front. Video footage taken from the rally clearly showed Fromm surrounded by large Nazi flags and emblems.

After reading [Jeff Cowan]'s report, the board asked the province to investigate further two incidents he mentioned: Fromm's attendance at an April, 1991, gathering to celebrate Adolf Hitler's birthday, and his trip last November to Victoria, B.C., to a function held on behalf of British author David Irving. Irving has written and given speeches denying or minimizing the Holocaust.
