Abstract (Document Summary)

[Mike Campbell], a CFL all-star in 1991 when Argos won the Grey Cup, played out his option last season while the Argos slipped out of playoff contention. He became a free agent in February and explored opportunities with other CFL and NFL teams. But he decided his best bet was to remain at home, where he is a partner in a garment business.

[Andrew Thomas], who attended the University of Massachusetts, had an earlier stint with the Argos when he was obtained in a 1990 trade for fullback Warren Hudson. The Argos later dealt him to the B.C. Lions and Thomas found his way back to Winnipeg in 1991.

The point after: The Argos have released rookie Canadian linebacker Steve McKee of the University of Guelph. . . . Running back Pat Dickey of DePauw University has checked into camp. . . . The Argos will hold Sunday's practice in Oshawa at Civic Fields Stadium.
