Abstract (Document Summary)

"We just don't have the money available to truck away the snow when it builds up," [Doug Floyd] said yesterday, noting his 1993 snow removal budget is already $600,000 over what should normally have been spent by this time of year.

Insisting Metro isn't cutting back on its street-clearing, Floyd said it will take a special act of Metro Council - or, in an emergency, its executive committee - to truck snow off the streets.
