Abstract (Document Summary)

Notes: Highland Ruckus, winner of the Highlander Handicap last month at Woodbine, is scheduled to run in Sunday's $75,000-added Best Turn Stakes at Saratoga. Regular rider David Clark will be aboard . . . Martha Burnett's Rather Theatrical, racing for the first time since finishing eighth in the Queen's Plate, was an easy winner of yesterday's second race, a $24,000 event for non-winners of three races . . . Fort Erie shippers continue to make successful forays to Woodbine. Dr. Black, a 5-year-old mare trained by John Wilson, zipped to an upset victory in yesterday's seventh race for $50,000 claimers, stopping the timer in 1:10 1/5 for six furlongs. She was ridden by Fort Erie regular Paul Souter.
