Abstract (Document Summary)

Dr. Ned Paige, 63, of Toronto will receive the Ontario Medal For Good Citizenship on Tuesday for developing Wen-Do, a women's self- defence technique, and for running courses in the technique and training instructors.

He's proud, too, that Wen-Do Women's Self Defence Inc. has achieved non-profit, charitable status from Ottawa. It is the only self-defence group in Canada that has achieved such status. It also has the endorsement of the Rape Crisis Centres in Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara Falls.

Wen-Do can be taught in 12 to 14 hours. To enrol, call Wen-Do Women's Self Defence at 977-7127.
