Abstract (Document Summary)

Under the temporary arrangement, up to half the 827 students at St. Basil's in the Weston area of North York will take classes at the vacant Melody Road Public School, board chairman Caroline DiGiovanni said.

Meanwhile, no progress has been made on finding public classroom space for Catholic secondary students at two Toronto schools - Bishop Francis Marrocco in the St. Clair Ave.-Dufferin St. area and Thomas Merton on Sherbourne St.

DiGiovanni responded that [Nola Crewe] had misrepresented the separate board's position. She said the board is willing to share but would need at least 12 classrooms in one location, not scattered over a number of sites.
