Guerrera, 20, of Dunn, N.C., killed by improvised explosives in Baghdad. PFC. Steven Acosta, 19, of Calexico, Calif., died from a non-hostile gunshot wound in Baqubah.

Oct. 13 Spc. Donald L. Wheeler, 22 of Concord, Mich., killed by a rocket-propelled grenade while searching for an improvised explosive device in Tikrit. PFC. Stephen E. Wyatt, 19, of Kilgore, Texas, killed when his convoy was hit by improvised explosives and small- arms fire in Balad. PFC. Jose Casanova, 23, of El Monte, Calif., and Spc. Douglas J. Weismantle, 28, of Pittsburgh, died in Baghdad when an Iraqi dump truck crashed into their Humvee. Pvt. Benjamin L. Freeman, 19, of Valdosta, Ga., drowned near Asad.
