Oct. 26 Lt.-Col. [Charles H. Buehring], 40, of Winter Springs, Fla., killed during a rocket-propelled grenade attack on the Rasheed Hotel in Baghdad. Pvt. Joseph R. Guerrera, 20, of Dunn, N.C., killed by improvised explosives in Baghdad. PFC. Steven Acosta, 19, of Calexico, Calif., died from a non-hostile gunshot wound in Baqubah. Oct. 13 Spc. Donald L. Wheeler, 22 of Concord, Mich., killed by a rocket-propelled grenade while searching for an improvised explosive device in Tikrit. PFC. Stephen E. Wyatt, 19, of Kilgore, Texas, killed when his convoy was hit by improvised explosives and small- arms fire in Balad. PFC. Jose Casanova, 23, of El Monte, Calif., and Spc. Douglas J. Weismantle, 28, of Pittsburgh, died in Baghdad when an Iraqi dump truck crashed into their Humvee. Pvt. Benjamin L. Freeman, 19, of Valdosta, Ga., drowned near Asad. Oct. 6 Spc. Spencer T. Karol, 20, of Woodruff, Ariz., killed by a command-detonated device in Ramadi. PFC. Kerry D. Scott, 21, of Mount Vernon, Wash., killed when his convoy was hit by an improvised explosive device in Iskandariyah. 2nd Lt.
