The 5.6-kilometre ride was built by Bendix Systems of Canada Inc., a company that's gone through several corporate identities in the past. Now, as Allied-Signal Aerospace Canada Co. Garrett Canada Division, it is part of American-owned Allied Signal Aerospace Co. of Torrance, Ca. The custom-built ride consists of several trains made up of rubber-wheeled cars running on a single concrete guideway - hence the "monorail" designation.
