Abstract (Document Summary)

In the past, some of the radiation intended for a cancerous breast may have spilled onto the healthy breast.

A woman who has had breast cancer once is three times as susceptible to future breast cancers. According to the American Cancer Society, 180,000 American women will develop a breast tumor this year and 46,000 women will die from breast cancer.
