5 minute Wrapup - Friday
[Regional Edition]
Kitchener - Waterloo Record
-
Kitchener, Ont.
Forward Andrew Taylor, the Kitchener Rangers' top draft pick from the Stratford Cullitons, is also participating. Others from Kitchener-Waterloo region, with their 1992-93 team in parentheses, are as follows: Forwards Mike Lavell and Stephen Lowe (Kitchener Greenshirts Triple A midgets); right winger Darryl Woodley (Kitchener Triple A bantams); defencemen Scott Price and Chris Wismer (Cambridge Double A bantams); and Guelph Storm third-round draftee Todd Norman (Stratford Cullitons junior B). [Bob Berry]'s agent, Don Meehan, agreed to terms of a three-year deal, the newspaper said, and the move puts on hold Berry's transition into the general manager's chair. Before last season, Berry, 49, was believed to have been on the fast track to replace Ron Caron as the Blues' general manager, perhaps as early as the 1994-95 season. Berry remains Caron's heir-apparent, but now he won't replace him before the 1996-97 season. The Expos, now with a 10 wins and three losses, are in second place, just a half-game behind the Kitchener Dodgers. The Expos play in London Tuesday night while the Dodgers are at home in Jack Couch Park to St. Thomas the same night at 8 o'clock. Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner.
