Successful program for film makers expanding

The institute's board of directors will be made up of 21 industry representatives from across Canada, including National Film Board chairman Francois Macerola, Montreal film maker Rock Demers (The Dog Who Stopped The War) and Oscar-winning Toronto producer Janice Platt (Boys And Girls). Functioning as part of the University of Alberta in Edmonton, the institute will have an annual operating budget of $360,000 a year, one-third of which will be provided by the Alberta government, it was announced last week during the Banff Television Festival.
