MONTREAL (CP) - Two dozen adults are gathered in a boardroom of the Montreal CBC building, transfixed by images of puppets singing songs like "The Caribou Shuffle" and "Canada Rocks." They're also introducing four new Canadian muppets - those lovable, lifelike puppets created by Jim Henson - to join veteran Canuck muppets Dodi, Basil and Louis. Dr. Bazuki, Fern, Robert and Katie, a young girl confined to a wheelchair, will help teach young viewers science, French and ecology. Children (and adults, of course) can now view up to 43 hours of Sesame Street a week, courtesy of the CBC, TV Ontario and Public Broadcasting Service stations. (It airs on CBC stations in this area at 11 a.m. on weekdays.) Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner. Further reproduction or distribution is prohibited without permission.
