Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear and the other Muppet characters are coming back to Toronto to frolic in a new weekly TV series, co-produced by CBC, NBC and Muppet master Jim Henson. Muppet craziness will fill the first half hour and the final half hour will be Henson's popular but intermittent "Storyteller" series of medieval tales narrated by British actor John Hurt. The "Storyteller episodes", which involve larger Muppet creations, will continue to be produced in England. Lorne Michaels, creator and current boss of Saturday Night Live, will be in a CBC studio in July to produce a pilot with Toronto's satire troupe, The Kids in the Hall, a CBC co-production also with American pay TV.
