He has recently created a stir in the crime fiction world by completing an unfinished Raymond Chandler novel, Poodle Springs, and writing a sequel to Chandler's famous The Big Sleep, a novel called Perchance To Dream. A fan of Chandler since he was a youth, [Robert B. Parker] still admires the classic detective novelist, but maintains that he is no Chandler clone.
