Keynote speaker Richard Burton, president & CEO, Xerox Canada, will offer recession advice, while another speaker, Lonear Heard, owner of nine McDonald's franchises in the U.S., will talk about her experiences as a black business woman. Toronto businessman Mutale Chanda, organizer of the Canadian Black Community Showcase, says the African-Canadian community is one of the fastest growing business, consumer and cultural groups in Toronto. "The showcase will have more of an ethnic focus than black business week. We have about 200 businesses from Canada and the U.S. demonstrating African-type products, fashions and music," Chanda says.
