Neighbors of Marlene "Lynn" Coombs remember her as a happy and gentle woman who liked to work with children. Coombs wanted to know why his wife had not met him downtown, as planned. Coombs was on her way to meet her husband and the two had planned to go to the theatre together. [Ken Westbrook] found a police car in the driveway of Coombs's home.
