[Valerie Pringle] began in 1973 as a summer student with CFRB radio in Toronto, becoming a full-time reporter the following year. She worked on CFRB's [Andy Barrie] Show (Barrie now hosts CBC Radio Toronto's morning show) and began hosting an evening show on the station in 1981. In 1984 she started work in television as co-host of CBC's Midday. She joined Canada AM in 1993. Pringle will take a month off, then begin her new job hosting and developing a series for CTV's new digital travel channel as well as working on documentary projects for the Discovery Channel.
