[Ted Chudleigh] rode the Tory steamroller to Queen's Park as a rookie candidate four years ago by soundly defeating NDP incumbent Noel Duignan and former Liberal MPP Walt Elliot when the riding was known as Halton North.

The riding: A mostly rural constituency of about 120,000 residents, the realigned [HALTON] riding includes parts of northeast Burlington, north Oakville, Milton, Georgetown and Acton.

[Jay Jackson], 46, is a photography technologist at Sheridan College. He placed fourth in the federal election in 1997 and ran an unsuccessful campaign for Halton Hills council in 1993. He is married with two children and lives in Halton Hills.
