[Ted Chudleigh] rode the Tory steamroller to Queen's Park as a rookie candidate four years ago by soundly defeating NDP incumbent Noel Duignan and former Liberal MPP Walt Elliot when the riding was known as Halton North. The riding: A mostly rural constituency of about 120,000 residents, the realigned [HALTON] riding includes parts of northeast Burlington, north Oakville, Milton, Georgetown and Acton. [Jay Jackson], 46, is a photography technologist at Sheridan College. He placed fourth in the federal election in 1997 and ran an unsuccessful campaign for Halton Hills council in 1993.
