 Abstract (Document Summary)

[Albert Walker] is charged with the murder of British-born Ronald Joseph Platt, a man authorities say Walker induced to go to Canada in order to assume his identity, then killed when he returned to Britain and placed Walker's cover at risk.

Also entered into evidence yesterday was a Mastercard receipt dated July 8, 1996, showing Walker's purchase of an anchor and six other items at a nautical sporting goods shop in Dartmouth. The card was in the name of Ronald Platt, then Walker's cover, and signed by him.

Walker selected a 10-pound Souwester plough anchor. [Patrick Gill] recommended Walker buy chain, as is customarily used with an anchor, but he declined.
