A certified feng shui consultant and owner of One Harmony Healing Arts, [Joy Ross] studied feng shui with renowned master Lin Yun and has been working as a feng shui consultant since 1997. While what you get rid of is important, what you add in is crucial. [Feng] shui leans heavily on a few key elements to add peace, harmony and prosperity to our environments. Chief among these are wind, water and light. Certain objects, known as "cures," represent these elements and are used to enhance the feng shui of a home. They include wind chimes, mobiles, fountains, mirrors, crystals, candles and plants. Colours are also considered a powerful cure, and each colour carries its own "vibe." According to feng shui practitioners, for example, black represents power and money, blue represents spiritualism and thoughtfulness, red is the colour of life and passion --and strategic combinations of colours are believed to yield extraordinary effects.
