In the last year, I've had conversations with an NDP MPP from downtown Toronto and with a Tory MPP from Toronto. The NDP MPP said that during the Rae government, it was very difficult to get any position from Toronto on the agenda because the MPPs in his party from the rest of Ontario didn't like Toronto. For that reason, we have registered the name Province of Toronto Party in an attempt to establish a provincial party with the sole agenda of making Toronto a province.
